Dry needling uses fine, sterile filament needles placed into specific points in a muscle. It may be used by registered osteopaths where appropriate, as one part of a broader management plan based on your assessment.
Some people notice a brief ache or a muscle twitch during treatment, and mild local soreness afterward. Temporary tenderness, redness or minor bruising can occur at the insertion site. Aftercare advice is always provided.
The risks, benefits and suitability are discussed with you before treatment, and consent is obtained before any dry needling is performed.
